Dr. Neerja Singla is a Professor in the Department of Food and Nutrition with extensive experience in research, teaching, and extension. She served as PI, Co-PI, and Unit Coordinator for the AICRP in Home Science (2013–2022). She was previously Assistant Professor at KVK, Ferozepur (2005–2013).
A meritorious scholar with a Ph.D. in Food and Nutrition, her research focuses on Community Nutrition and Foods Formulation. She has guided 14 M.Sc. and 5 Ph.D. students, and is currently mentoring 8 more. Dr. Singla has over 40 peer-reviewed publications, authored technical manuals and book chapters, and contributed extensively to extension literature. She was nominated as a Subject Expert and Test/Item Developer for ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (2020) by the National Testing Agency and has been actively involved in curriculum revision in the department and committees work at various levels. Her work has earned national and international recognition, including best paper awards.
