Dr. Ritu Mahal joined as Assistant Professor (Home Science) Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Samrala on
May 6, 2013. She completed her M.Sc (Child Development) from Department of Child Development, College of Home Science in the year 1998. She cleared her ASRB –NET exam in
the year 1999. She worked in All India Co-ordinated Research Project for almost 15 years and transferred to the department of Human Development and family studies in November 2016. In
2020 she pursued her Phd degree as in-service candidate and joined back in department on January 9, 2023. Dr. Ritu Mahal has established two self-help groups and the groups have won the best stall award at Kisan Mela, 2015. She was Programme Officer, National Social Service, CoCSc, PAU, Ludhiana from 2017-2019. She is guiding three M.Sc students and one Phd student. She is an active member in college’s admission committee, hospitality committee, academic report writing, accreditation committee and incharge of psychological testing laboratory. She has compiled the self-study report in 2024 and sixth Deans committee courses in 2025 for UG students at the departmental level.
