Brief Introduction

Dr Prachi Bisht joined as Scientist (Human Development and Family studies) on 3 rd October 2019.Dr Prachi is currently handling project entitled ‘ Assessment of Livelihood Status of Farm Women and Appropriate Interventions for Enhancement of Livelihood in Different Agro- Ecological Regions for Women Empowerment ‘ as Principal investigator and two project entitled ‘Nutri Smart Village Programme for Strengthening POSHAN Abhiyaan ‘ and ‘Shree Anna Gram; Programme – A New Vista for Nutritional Security’ as CO-PI in the ICAR’s All India Coordinated Resarch Project Scheme. The thematic area under which her core research is focused upon is childhood trauma studies and personality psychology. Dr Prachi did her Masters in Human Development from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana during which she was holding ICAR Junior research fellowship and PhD from Kumaon University. Nainital, Uttarakhand with UGC NET JRF and SRF, scholarships. In 2024 she conferred Best Young Scientist in the Global Academic Research Excellence award in association with 3 rd International conference on Advanced Interdisciplinary Research organized by Digvijaynath Postgraduate college, Gorakhpur UP & Science Tech Institute, Lukhnow.Dr. Prachi is a life time member of Home Sciences Association of Indian award member of National Positive Psychology Association, Department of Psychology, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Professional Accomplishments Projects Completed:
  1. Reproductive health care in agrarian families (2019-2020) under AICRP (Home Science-CD) as Co-PI.
  2. Associated with AICRP-WIA (AIl India Co-ordinated Research Project, Women in Agriculture, 2020-2021) as PI.

  2. 3rd best paper award during a Conference on ‘Innovations to Impact: Gender Transformative Approach for Sustainable Agri-food System (IIGASA)’ held in Bhuwaneshwar ,Odisha. Paper entitled: Stress Indicators of farm women in Punjab.
  3. Dr. Bisht was conferred with the Best Young Scientist Award (2024) at the Global Academic Research Excellence Awards, held in conjunction with the 3rd International Conference on Advanced Interdisciplinary Research, organized by Digvijaynath Postgraduate College, Gorakhpur, and Science Tech Institute, Lucknow.
