Under the aegis of Directorate of Extension Education, PAUand ICAR-ATARI, Zone-1, Ludhiana, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar organized a vocational training course on “Preparation of bakery and confectionery products” from1.12.2025 to 5.12.2025. During this course, 30 participants were registered.
Dr. Rajinder Kaur, Assistant Professor (Home Science) demonstrated different recipes of bakery and confectionery products.The participants were imparted hands on practical training on different recipes and garnishing during presentation of ready recipes. In this training various recipes were demonstrated like Simple cake with jaggery, bajra, jowar and whole wheat flour cake without egg, cup cake, dark and butter chocolates, Cup cake and muffins, cookies made from different grains such as atta, maize, bajra, jowar, and coconut. She also delivered lectures on nutritious bakery and confectionery products by altering the basic recipe. She also motivated the trainees to opt this training as profession.
Dr. Pradeep kumar, Deputy Director (Training) while interacting with the trainees emphasized that they should incorporate the knowledge and skills obtained during the training in their ventures and assured all help for future endeavors too.
