With the bone-chilling winters advancing, the agricultural scientists of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) advised the farmers of the state to take special care of rabi crops such as wheat, fruits, vegetables, flowers, etc. This advice was given by the experts to the members of the PAU Kisan Club during the monthly training camp, held under the guidance of Dr TS Dhillon, Additional Director of Extension Education and Communication.
As many as 85 farmer members attended the camp, wherein experts Dr Manpreet Singh, Dr AS Toor and Dr PS Tak explained the weed management in rabi crops, importance of micronutrients and disease control in rabi crops, respectively. A special lecture on dental care was delivered by Dr PS Sidhu, Sidhu Dental Care and Homeo Hospital.
Satvir Singh, Secretary of the club, welcomed the subject-matter specialists and the club members, while Manpreet Grewal, President of the club, proposed a vote of thanks. The programme was coordinated by Varinder Singh from Kairon Kisan Ghar.
