Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma has been awarded the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship by the United States India Education Foundation(USIEF). He has also received the National Award for Science Communication through Innovative and Traditional Media from the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Fulbright Alumni Award. He holds a Diploma in Science Journalism from the Indian Society of Science Communication affiliated with the Government of India (GOI). He is also a certified VANI (Voice Articulation and Nurturing Initiative) certificate holder from All India Radio. One of his audio capsule was selected in Swachata selfie programme and broadcasted by all the Radio stations of nation and one of his film in 2023 selected as best film in regional language by MANAGE Hyderabad.

Research Project completed:

• Handled Project “Conservation of Natural Resources for Sustainable Agriculture Through Traditional Media “funded by Department of Science & technology, Government of India.
• Handle a project Amrit mahautsav in Punjab state with collaboration of Vigyan Parsar and PSCST, Chandigarh
• Handled a project from GIZ, Switzerland to trained the farmers from Madhya Pradesh in India and of Tanzania.
• Handle project Grass Root Initiative Programme GRIP 2023 & 24 from Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Chandigarh
• Handled project from State Department of Agriculture on Awareness creation on Paddy straw management in Punjab in 2023-24.
• Coordinator of Ludhiana district of science week organized by prime minister scientific advisory committee in seventy-five locations of the country held from 22-28 February 2022.
• “Networking for WASH Eco- Friendly Literacy campaign “project. The project was funded by Rashtriya Vigyan evam Prodyogiki sanchar Parishad, Government of India in 2018-19.

• FULBRIGHT SCHOLAR. Under category Environmental Leadership category of session 2010-11 (USIEF), visited USA for four months (15 Sep,2010-15 Jan,2011) with project to analyses the Technology Transfer System Being Followed in US Agricultural Universities.
• Department of Science and Technology of Ministry of Science and Technology Awarded National Award For Science Communication through Traditional and Innovative Methods for the year 2014  
• Winner of the Innovative challenge competition organised by GIZ Switzerland and Bern university of Germany for developing card board game to create awareness in Tanzania and India.
• For Technical Street Play (written and directed by me) received National Award with cash prize of Rs. 40,000/- in National Level Street Play Competition held in CICR, Nagpur with the collaboration of Ministry of Agriculture and Department For International Development , UK in June, 2004.In this event I was declared as the Best Director.
