Brief Introduction

Dr. Deepika Vig is presently working as Coordinator of Research, College of Community Science, PAU, Ludhiana. She headed the Department of Human Development & Family Studies (HDFS), PAU from 2019-23. She has handled 6 competitive research projects. She has contributed in finalization of State Early Childhood Care & Education Policy to be implemented by Government of Punjab. She has assisted in development of national level percentile growth charts as well as physical and psycho-social profile for birth to 18 years old rural children of Punjab under All India Coordinated Research Project in Child Development (ICAR).Her publications include 5 text books, 115research papers, 10 book chapters, 32 research bulletins and 16 popular articles. She has been awarded 5 best paper presentation awards at national conferences.  Her expertise is in intervention research focused on standardizing educational and remedial strategies for early identification and management of children with academic skill disorders.
