Dr. Harpinder Kaur did her B.Sc. Home Science and M.Sc. in Family Resource Management from Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University Hisar and Ph.D. from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. She joined as Assistant Professor, Family Resource Management at COHSc, Kaoni, Mukatsar under PAU, Ludhiana) in June, 1996. She was transferred to COHSc, PAU, Ludhiana in August, 2000. She had been promoted as Associate Professor, Family Resource Management on 24.09.08. She worked as scientist in ICAR project i.e. All India Coordinated Research project (AICP-Home Science, FRM Component)as Principal Scientist from 2007 to 2011. Under this project, she had designed and tested awomen friendly handy tool Ring Cutter for plucking of vegetables from the fields. She has taught different courses to B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph. D. students. She has guided seven M.Sc. students and three Ph.D. students as major advisor till now. She has acted as paper setter and external examiner of various State Agricultural Universities. She also acted as judge for various Fine -Arts competitions in various Universities and Institutions of Punjab. She also chaired technical sessions during various National conferences. Her Major Fields of specialization include Ergonomics, Resource Management, Interior Decoration and Consumer Economics. She is also a member of various National level Professional Societies. She has published more than 70 research papers in various journals and conference proceedings. She has attended various National and International conferences/seminars in India and also presented research papers. At the Academic front, she had a very bright academic record since B.Sc., as she got merit Scholarship throughout her B.Sc. and M.Sc. Programme. She topped university in M.Sc. for achieving highest Overall Grade Point Average. She also got first rank at All- India Level Test for getting ICAR- Senior Research Fellowship for perusing Doctorate Degree.
