Brief Introduction

Dr. Poonam Bakhetia has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food and Nutrition, College of Community Science, PAU, Ludhiana since March 19, 2013. She holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Food and Nutrition, and a B.Sc. in Home Science. She has taught over 30 undergraduate courses and guides M.Sc. and Ph.D. students as a Major Advisor. As ELP Incharge, she actively contributes to skill enhancement and resource generation. She has published 25+ NAAS-rated research papers, 2 manuals, 2 book chapters, and had involved in AICRP on Women in Agriculture Project. Her outreach includes 30 extension articles, 10 radio/TV talks, 25+ lectures, and organizing 65 trainings, 15 vocational programs, exhibitions, and NCC camps. With participation in 33 professional development programs, her work reflects dedication to academic excellence, rural health, and women’s empowerment through capacity building and nutrition education.
