EMPOWERING FUTURE MANAGERS: COMMUNICATION SKILLS WORKSHOP AT PAU

The School of Business Studies organized a comprehensive communication skills workshop for MBA and MBA(AB) students under the guidance of Dr. Sandeep Kapur, Professor Business Management and Strategy consultant at National level along with Dr. Navneet Kaur Gill, Teaching Assistant and Dr Maria (Industrial Mentor).
Dr. Ramandeep Singh, Director, SBS,PAU with his team organised session aimed at strengthening students’ communication techniques and enhancing their readiness for industrial needs. Dr Sandeep Kapur highlighted about group discussion activity where students exchanged ideas , showcasing their analytical thinking, speaking abilities, and confidence. This activity encouraged healthy debate, teamwork, and active participation, while also promoting junior–senior interaction and collaborative learning.
The workshop also covered essential aspects of the corporate environment, such as goal setting, understanding organizational expectations, and recognizing that professional success depends not only on hard work but also on aligning with what the organization and one’s supervisor truly require. Students gained practical insights into how corporate teams function, the importance of coordination, and the need to adapt to professional settings.

Introduced and motivated participating students about PAU extension wing and role of KVK’s and FASS in promoting PAU technologies. He emphasised that good human skills will make you efficient Managers.
Dr Maria focused on the difference between hearing and listening. teamwork, and enhancing leadership qualities.
Mr Gurinder Singh and Mr Sameer Gautam,Organisers of NIDHI-TBI,DST,GoI, Research Project emphasised that strong communication, clarity of expression, good listening habits, and professional conduct are essential components of career success.Dr Navneet proposed vote of thanks to one and all present.
