NIDHI-TBI TEAM PARTICIPATES IN FUELERATOR PROGRAM, SHOWCASING ENTREPRENEURIAL INNOVATION

The NIDHI-Technology Business Incubator (NIDHI-TBI) at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) marked an inspiring presence at the FUELERATOR Program, organized by MBCIE, Ludhiana Angel Network, and Startup Punjab at Hotel Park Plaza, Ludhiana. The event, designed as a funding and acceleration platform for Food, Beverages and Agri Startups, brought together budding entrepreneurs, investors, industry veterans and ecosystem enablers under one roof. A significant highlight of the event was the participation of three promising incubatees of NIDHI-TBI – Brands Amolak, Farmative and Rural Grist.
The program offered them valuable insights into market networking, investment readiness, and industry expectations, while also giving them an opportunity to interact with leading business tycoons and investors. The exposure is expected to further strengthen their entrepreneurial journey and enhance their ability to scale sustainably. The event was graced by Sh Sanjeev Arora, State Minister of Industries and Commerce; Mr Rajinder Gupta, MD and Chairman, Trident Group; and Sh Himanshu Jain, DC, Ludhiana and various distinguished personalities from the industry. Their guidance emphasized the importance of market understanding, product optimization and strong value systems in building scalable businesses.

Dr Ramandeep Singh, Principal Investigator (PI) of NIDHI-TBI and Director, School of Business Studies, appreciated the efforts of the participating incubatees. He stated, “Such platforms not only expose our startups to real-time investor expectations but also help them refine their business pitches, build strategic networks, and understand industry dynamics. NIDHI-TBI remains committed to nurturing innovation-driven agripreneurs who can create meaningful impact in Punjab and beyond.”

Dr Poonam Sachdeva, Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) of NIDHI-TBI and Principal Food Technologist, highlighted the importance of technical up skilling in entrepreneurship. She remarked, “The food and agri sector is rapidly evolving, and our startups must stay updated with product quality, compliance, and emerging technologies. The FUELERATOR program offered an excellent arena for them to gain perspective on product refinement and consumer-centric innovation.”
Mr Gurinder Singh, CEO of NIDHI-TBI and Mr Sameer Gautam, Business Manager, NIDHI-TBI, appreciated the event for bringing together investors and startups on one stage. He added that such platform helps build confidence among early-stage startups. Interactions with industry leaders and investors are crucial for shaping their strategic direction, said he.
