Pathankot, December 2, 2025: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Pathankot, under the aegis of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, organized a special awareness program yesterday (December 1, 2025) on the theme “Combating Paddy Stubble Burning: Save Soil, Save Environment.”
Held under the guidance of Director Extension Education and leadership of KVK In-charge Dr. Ravinder Singh Chhina, the event saw Dr. Puneet Sharma providing valuable information on environmental conservation to over 150 participants. The primary objective of the program was to sensitize the younger generation regarding sustainable agriculture and the harmful effects of crop residue burning.
To encourage student participation, competitions including Poster Making, Slogan Writing, and Elocution were also organized during the event.
