PAU-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Ropar, working under the aegis of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) and ICAR ATARI ZONE I, organized a specially convened, on-demand, block‑level camp on Crop Residue Management (CRM) on December 1, 2025 at Nurpur Bedi. Conducted under the guidance of the Associate Director, Dr Satbir Singh, the programme featured expert lectures on sustainable residue management practices aimed at curbing stubble burning and promoting climate‑resilient agriculture. Participants were guided on the practical use of CRM machinery, improved agronomic techniques, and technologies supporting residue management. Dr. Aparna, Professor of Livestock Production, discussed balanced ration formulation and also provided a detailed perspective on the effective utilization of paddy straw as livestock feed. To strengthen farmer awareness, CRM literature and extension materials were distributed, along with other technical inputs tailored to local needs. Dr Singh remarked that the camp proved to be an effective platform for bridging scientific knowledge with grassroots application, inspiring farmers to adopt eco‑friendly technologies and reinforcing the commitment of KVK Ropar towards sustainable farming solutions.
