NOTICE

Applications are invited on prescribed form along with the application fee of Rs. 200/- in shape of online payment on any working day from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana along with attested copies of certificates for these positions as given below:

1. One position of Project Associate- I @ Rs 31,000/- per month fixed + 16% HRA for in the Project entitled “Genome-wide introgression of tetraploid non-progenitor Aegilops peregrina (UUSS) in hexaploid wheat background and mapping of multiple disease resistance” CSS-05 (PC-6387).

Educational qualifications:

• B.Sc./B.Tech. Biotechnology/Agriculture/B.Sc. Biosciences with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60 % marks.
• M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding & Genetics/Genetics ‘crop plants’/Biochemistry/Microbiology with minimum OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65 % marks
• NET/NET-LS/GATE/other National level tests conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies.

Note-I: The candidate who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possess Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.

Note-II: Desirable: Candidates with experience in handling wheat crop, disease snoring, crossing, wide hybridization, handling sequencing and SNP-chip data and bioinformatics analysis.

Note-III: Posts will be filled @ Rs. 25000/- fixed + 16% HRA from among the candidates who fulfill all other required qualifications but have not cleared NET/NET-LS/GATE/other National level tests conducted by Central level departments and their agencies.

Note-IV: Students pursuing Ph.D degree are eligible to apply who cleared NET/NET-LS//GATE/other National level tests conducted by Central level departments and their agencies.

2. One post of Junior Research Fellow @ Rs 31,000/- + HRA 16% per month for 1^st two years and as SRF @ Rs 35,000/- + HRA 16% per month for 3rd year in the Project entitled “Cambridge India Network for translations Research in Nitrogen- 2” CSS-06 (PC-6406)”.

Educational qualifications

• B.Sc. Biotechnology/Agriculture/Horticulture/Biosciences/B.Tech. Biotechnology with minimum OCPA of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks.
• M.Sc. in Biotechnology /Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/ Agricultural Biotechnology / Plant Breeding and Genetics with minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 OCPA or 65% marks.

Maximum age: 35 years

Note-I: The Candidates who do not possess a Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possess a Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at the Master’s level shall be eligible for the post.

Note-II: Applicant must have passed the GATE/CSIR–UGC_NET/ARS-NET/DBT-BET or an equivalent national Level test. If a suitable candidate with NET is not available, then non NET candidate can be selected at monthly emoluments of Rs. 25000+16% HRA.

Note-III: The Candidates should ensure that they fulfil the qualifications by the last date of submission of application.

Note–IV: Desirable: Candidate with experience of working in wheat Crop/ Bioinformatics for Genome/ Transcriptome/ data handling. Genomics and Bioinformatics
